This years’ SASAD Dance Congress is an absolute must for dance lovers. There are going to be workshops from renowned dancers in their genres, including Denise Shultze (ballet), Pascal Hulin (tap) and Duane Alexander (musical theatre).
DENISE SHULTZE is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She studied ballet with Faith de Villiers, David Poole of the Sadlers Wells Ballet Theatre and the Russian teacher, Vera Volkova. She qualified in London, and was later appointed an examiner of the Cecchetti Method.
PASCAL HULIN started his career in Paris as a trumpeter and played in various big bands. Having had an extensive training in performing arts at the same time in Paris and New York City, he finally became a tap dancer. He has appeared in jazz clubs worldwide, at the famous Paris Olympia, on cruise ,casinos and in films and TV broadcast.
DUANE ALEXANDER comesfrom Pietermaritzburg, and has been dancing and performing since the age of 6. He studied at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town where he twice received the award for ‘Most Outstanding Student’. He also obtained his performer’s certificate in Musical Theatre, and teaching degrees in both Modern and Tap dance. After
graduating, he performed in the Original South African cast of “CATS”.
