Our third hunk of the month candidate for February is Gerard Butler.

Hi full name is Gerard James Butler and he was born on the 13th of November 1969. He has appeared on stage, film and television.He started acting in the mid-1990s with small roles in films like the James Bond film ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. He followed this with steady work on tv with a part in the American miniseries ‘Attila’ (2001).

He garnered critical acclaim for his breakthrough work as the lead in Joel Schumacher’s 2004 film adaptation of the musical The Phantom of the Opera. In 2007, Butler gained worldwide recognition through his portrayal of King Leonidas in the film 300.

Gerard is the youngest of three children.

He studied law at the University of Glasgow. After graduating, he got a job as a trainee lawyer, but was fired soon after getting the job. A week before being fired, in 1995, Butler had been inspired to try acting, after seeing a stage production of Trainspotting at the Edinburgh Festival. The fact that her was fired gave him the chance to plunge fully into the acting world. He moved to London and the rest, as they say, is history.
