The annual Scream Awards is a celebration of horror, fantasy and science fiction and this year’s awards ceremony didn’t disappoint.
The stage looked like a warped metropolis. Halle Berry, Megan Fox, Don Cheadle, Kelly Osbourne, Mickey Rourke and many more actors indulged the audience. Sigourney Weaver (Alien) emerged from a giant brain-shaped pod to accept ‘Heroine’ honours from director James Cameron. Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd got a standing ovation as they reunited with a DeLorean car to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future.
The cast of the awesoment vampire series ever, True Blood, appeared together on stage to claim several awards, including Best TV Show, Holy **it moment and Horror Actor and Actress.
Green Lantern earned the title of Most Anticipated movie.
Besides for prizes being awarded to movies and series which are currently running, the Scream Awards also gave a few sneak previews for upcoming productions, like Scream 4, The Rite and Harry Potter 7.
Fans voted online for awards in 30 categories, including best villain and most memorable mutilation. Not all 30 prizes were presented during Saturday’s show.
