Monaco’s Prince Albert II is set to marry his South African fiancée in the open air in the public square in front of his palace. This is to accomodate as many guests as possible. There will apparently be around about 1000 guests. Day one will be the civil ceremony and day two will be a traditional Catholic ceremony.
Upon announcement of their engagement, the future Princess of Monaco said: “I feel great joy and emotion as you can imagine. I know it is an important moment for the people of Monaco. I’ll do anything to be worthy of their expectations.”
In June, the 52-year-old prince announced plans to marry 32-year-old South African swimming champion Charlene Wittstock, in what royal watchers expect to be the most glamorous social event of the 2011 season.
Prince Albert is the son of late Hollywood star Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III.
I can’t wait to see pictures of the wedding dress.
