Animal Planet’s Dave Salmoni is in South Africa

Discovery Networks is proud to host acclaimed international large predator expert and its’ most popular presenter, Dave Salmoni, in South Africa this month. The ‘Into the Lion’s Den’ star is visiting the country as part of Discovery Network’s much-anticipated media activities highlighting its fourth quarter 2010 and 2011 programming.

You can currently watch Dave on DSTV channel 264 in ‘Into The Lions Den’. The show is one of 12 shows that form part of DSTV’s Animal Heroes Season.

Dave hosted a special media round table discussion on Tuesday the 14th of September. He spoke about his extensive career. Says Dave

“I’m really excited to be back in South Africa – a place I regard as my second home. Every time I come here I’m struck by the incredible opportunity South Africans have to understand and as a result – protect – their amazing wildlife. That’s something I’m really passionate about and hope to convey to viewers through the shows being broadcast as part of Animal Planet’s Heroes Season.”

Dave Salmoni was born in Canada. He visits South Africa regularly and maintains a home and a business in Johannesburg. He is renowned internationally as a big cat handler and trainer and a large predator conservationist.
