Jeremy Mansfield to play 'Lifer' in Toy Story 3

Well-known radio personality Jeremy Mansfield announced live on his radio show on 94.7 Highveld Stereo that he is set to voice a character in Toy Story 3.

Mansfield will lend his voice to the character of Lifer, a Chatter telephone who has spent his life in the toy box at a children’s nursery school.

  1. It is definately Jeremy Mansfields voice on the film, but why do all the credits say the voice is Teddy Newton?

    • You are absolutely right. I haven’t watched the movie yet, but I checked out the character list on and it states Teddy Newton as the voice of Lifer. I didn’t see any media with regards to Jeremy not doing the role anymore. I’ll do some more digging.

      • I emailed where I saw the original notice that Jeremy would be the voice of Lifer. Someone has emailed me back with the following response:

        It’s definitely Jeremy here in South Africa. I waited until the bitter
        bitter end of the credits – right after all the copyright notices etc –
        and there was a tack-on screen of credits which I barely had time to read
        except to see Jeremy credited.

        All I can assume is that different countries may have had different voices
        for some characters. It will be interesting to see if we get Jeremy when
        the DVD is released.
