What’s happening in Durban this weekend

Wow – can you believe that December is already 17 days old.

I’m sure by now most people have started their Christmas leave.  Now you just have to come up with things to do.

Following is a list of some of the events and happenings in Durban this weekend.

Beat-route, a four piece swing jazz combo, is playing at the market restaurant in Morningside on the 18th at 12:30.

Suncoast will be presenting ‘Curry on Laughing’ from the 18th to the 20th of December.  Tickets can be bought through computicket.

The Phansi museum in Esther Roberts Road, Glenwood, is hosing a show featuring magic tricks and marionettes on the 18th of December.  For more information phone 031 2612370.

The Wave House in Gateway is hosting a skate competition and live art show on the 18th December.  Entry is free.

For those of you who have children the Durban Botanical Gardens is hosting ‘Spots and Dots’, an outdoor theatre production.  Tickets cost R30.

The Essenwood craft market is held every Saturday.  It’s lovely for a picnic, or you have have breakfast at the market.

Wave House is looking for sixteen brave challengers to dual it out for the Wave House ‘Eye of the Tiger’ Survival Challenge set to take place at the Wave House Events Arena on 19th December 2009.

What is in store for our intrepid ensemble is seven tasks of physical endurance, mental anguish and personal victory.
