Bahai’s celebrate Day of the Covenant

The Day of the Covenant is a holy day for Baha’is.  It is used to celebrate the birth of  Abdu’l-Baha, son of Baha’u’llah.

The Baha’i faith is a monotheistic religion founded in Persia.  It emphasises the spiritual unity of all humankind.  There are three core principles of the faith: the unity of God, the unity of religion and the unity of humankind.  From these principles stems the belief that God periodically reveals his will through divine educators whose purpose is to transform the character of humankind and develop within those who respond moral and spritual qualities.

Interesting hey?  You really do get some interesting beliefs in the world.

Hmmm, I think I’ve come up with next months’ theme.
